FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Albert County Chamber of Commerce goes Virtual.
The Albert County Chamber of Commerce will be holding a huge party on Saturday, May 9th, at 7 PM, celebrating the fantastic businesses in Albert County, handing out awards, enjoying live music, and getting together. And it’s online only – live streaming from their Facebook page.
When the Albert County Chamber had to cancel their Awards Gala in April, they decided that it was now more important than ever to acknowledge and support local businesses in their community. Several members of the Board of Directors got together and created a plan to host the awards online. Through detailed choreographed technology, the ACCC Gala event will feature live video streams from the hosts Michelle Alcorn and Tosh Taylor, live nominees and acceptance speeches, live speakers, live music by local artist Chris Colepaugh, as well as a featured video.
“We are so fortunate to live in a county where businesses like our nominees care about our community and continually go above and beyond for their customers and one another!
The Board of Directors did not want to miss an opportunity to celebrate our amazing local businesses as we all do our part to ‘flatten the curve’ and keep each other safe.
So, with a bit of creativity, we have designed an evening of virtual celebration to honor our nominees, have some fun, and announce the award recipients on May 9th at 7 PM – Live on Facebook.” explains co-Chair Micha Fardy.
The Livestream is open to the public, and it will start on the Albert County Chamber of Commerce Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/ACCofC/) about 10 minutes before the show begins. Nominees have a private invitation to the backend so that they can be in the stream and accept their awards.
“We’ve been rehearsing the live stream this week, and all is good to go.” cites Albert County Chamber board member Lynn Colepaugh who is also running the tech behind the scenes. “We’re excited to see it go live. It’s a very relaxed broadcast, so we’re going to enjoy every moment of it.”
