Chamber of Commerce sign a new partnership agreement
Moncton (NB), June 27th, 2022 – The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton (CCGM) and the Albert County Chamber of Commerce (ACCC) are joining forces to work together to the benefit of both organizations following the creation and signing of an enhanced one-year working relationship pilot.
The CCGM will offer membership to ACCC members who are not already CCGM members under an ‘associate’ membership for 12 months for the 2022-2023 period at a reduced rate (in addition to any membership fees paid to the ACCC). This associate membership gives Albert County members access to full benefits in the CCGM from the date of membership.
The ACCC will also offer an ‘associate’ membership to CCGM members who are not already ACCC members for 2022-2023 at an additional reduced rate, that would also give CCGM members access to full benefits in the Albert County Chamber for a period of one year.
“The board of directors of the Albert County Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to collaborate with the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce to expand our reach, exchange best practices and supporting benefits,” said Annick Robichaud Butland, president of the Albert County Chamber board of directors. “This partnership will be of great value to our members, and we are already seeing businesses signing up!”, she continued.
The pilot project includes providing all CCGM networking opportunities to the Albert County Chamber associate members at CCGM member rates, including the Business After Hours series, golf tournament, Top 20 Under 40 Gala, the Greater Moncton Business Excellence Awards, and full professional development series, including Chamber College, Business Succession 101 and Breakfast & Learn. The ACCC will continue to plan and stage its own Business Excellence Awards.
“The agreement includes coordination of advocacy efforts on issues that are important to the membership of both organizations,” said Michelle Duffie, Chair of the CCGM board of directors. “This includes dependable access to high-speed Internet, the maintenance and upgrading of Route 114, which is a major tourism route leading to and from two of the most popular tourist attractions in the province and the growth of our population and labour force.”
The partnership has the potential to introduce a wealth of new networking opportunities for businesses in Albert County and Greater Moncton and strengthen the relationship between the two regions.
